Saw 3D Slices To The #1 Spot On Halloween Weekend
People loooove to watch creepy things on Halloween!
Saw 3D, the film's seventh and (hopefully) final film in its franchise, was the #1 movie this weekend, taking in $24.2 million.
While the film definitely made more than last year's Saw VI's $14.1 million, it was only the fifth highest-grossing film out of all the Saw [...]

Jake Gyllenhaal Grabs Lunch With Busy Philipps
In the wake of the HAPPY news that Mariah Carey is pregs with his first child, Nick Cannon rushed out yesterday to pick up a bunch of balloons to celebrate his impending fatherhood …
… of course, the dad-to-be could only be bothered with carrying a couple of balloons. Nick left the hard work of carrying all the other balloons to his assistant. I bet he is happy, y’all. I can’t wait until baby Cannon is born!

The Rally To Restore Sanity And/Or Fear Invades Washington DC
Our dear Jake Gyllenhaal, who was recently spied in the close company of Country/Pop star Taylor Swift, was spotted enjoying a lunch date with Cougar Town actress Busy Philipps here in SoCal yesterday afternoon. Despite the seeming coziness of the pair, I’m pretty sure there was nothing untoward going on between the two … Jake and Busy are godparents to Matilda Rose Ledger (daughter of Michelle Williams and the late Heath Ledger) and were prolly just having a friendly pow-wow together:
Even tho there’s no rule that godparents can’t be romantic, I’m pretty sure these two are merely good friends. That being said, I think I would much prefer it if Jake were romantically linked to Busy rather than with Taylor. As much as I would love Jakey poo to be single and available (you know, just in case), I think I could live with him settling down with a nice girl like Busy. I think Jake gettin’ bizzy with Busy makes a Hell of a lot more sense than his fraternizing with Taylor.

Les News, 103010
Here is this week’s batch of photos sent in by Pink is the new Blog readers — Sharon sends in a photo of her adorable 10 month old Pooh bear Alexander — Marie-Josée, a Montreal teacher currently living on sabbatical in Spain, sends in a fun photo from her new temporary home — Jennifer, from Guildford England, sends in a supercute pic of her Jedi Master daughter Maddie — Ama sends in a cute pic of her little pooch Miyavi playing in the freshly fallen Utah snow — Lisa sends in a photo of her boss Casey and her entire department at work dressed up as Super Mario Bros. characters for the annual Hallowe’en costume contest this year … unfortch, they lost the contest to the IT department but, IMHO, they are all winners this Hallowe’en:
Much love and thanks to YOU all for taking the time to send in your fun photos. I know there will be a lot of Hallowe’en fun this weekend so make sure you send in your photos for posting next week ;) Have a happy, safe and fun Hallowe’en and take lots of photos :D

You Can Do It! (Okay, Maybe Not)
The world's worst band is playing at a neighborhood fest/farmer's market one block from my apartment, but they're so loud that it sounds like they're playing right outside my window. I just ventured out so I could see what they look like and take a picture to show you, but as it turns out they're a group of down-on-their-luck teenagers playing plastic buckets and ginormous metal bazookas (which looks like trombones but aren't), so I felt bad and didn't do so.
But you know, this leads me to something. You want to encourage these kids and be like, "Keep playing your music! You can do it!" But at what point do you tell them they're awful? I mean, the neighborhood is suffering because of the noise. I have my TV turned up all the way to drown them out.
It reminds me of when I played the flute in the fourth grade school band. I thought we were amazing but then we had a concert. Afterward, when I asked my step-dad how we were, he laughed and said, "You sounded like the Charlie Brown school band." I was eight or nine years old at the time, but I was old enough to be told I sucked. I remember not caring. These kids are teenagers... I think it's time someone encouraged them to find another career path because this jam-band thing isn't working out.
(Btw, I couldn't find a clip of the Peanuts gang school band to show you, but you know what I'm talking about, right? They were horrible.)

Facebook has self-censored once again by shutting down a same-sex kiss-in event, which was planned for Pope Benedict XVI's arrival in Spain next month.
The page promoting the same-sex kissing Flashmob had gotten 12,000 users confirmed for the event, which was scheduled to take place in Cathedral Square in Barcelona on November 7.
No word yet on how this will affect the actual event.
You can say what you want about the event's content, but the fact is this marks another case of censorship by Facebook, and it's directed at the gay community, which is NOT cool.
What do U think about Facebook's censorship of this event?
