Use a Recording Studio for Success

One thing that has always been a constant in my life is music and till my last day hopefully I'll be singing my CD's and many others. There is nothing like music to pick a person up when they're down.Nothing like a song stuck in your head to help get the job done when there isn't another music source around.

Types of Antique Pianos Commonly Restored An Overview of the Different Models

For most of the people, it is getting harder and harder to find free time to go to the library or the bookstore just to find a book. This all does not make sense because it costs money and time. For the real connoisseurs of books the option to read a book, which they really like from a computer, is not really an option.

All About The 7 Elements Of Music

What seems most noticeable about the beautiful African music is that it relies heavily on percussion materials, especially on the African drums. One can also notice and appreciate the intense, upbeat and fast-paced rhythmic style used in playing the African drums. This style of playing these special instruments is most especially evident among the various tribes in Africa.

How To Use Ableton For The Best Results

To make sure that your piano keeps in its best form, you have to clean the keyboard from time to time. How frequently you clean your piano keyboard depends on how often it is used. For example, piano teachers may be required to tidy up the accumulated fingerprints of the students handling the piano each week, whereas a seldom-used piano keyboard may be required to be cleaned only once or twice in a year.

Taylor Lautner Lily Collins Enjoy A Date Night Together

Back in January we got our first look at the first promo photo featuring Taylor Lautner and co-star Lily Collins in their new film Abduction and in February, we saw photos of Taylor and Lily as travel buddies. Since that time, tho, the couple haven’t been seen out and about … until now. This week, [...]

Yesterday was a fun day for David and me because we got to spend it in the company of THE most beautiful baby girl EVER who was celebrating her 6 month birthday! Our dear friend Genevieve and I made plans for us to hang out last night and she graciously shared Audrey’s 6 month birthday with us. I’m not even kidding you … Audrey is the most beautiful little girl around … and we got to spend the evening playing with her.

I can’t even tell you how cute Audrey is in person … as cute as she looks in photos, they pale in comparison to how adorable she is in person. It’s all David and I can do to keep from running off with this precious little girl … she’s just the cutest! Our evening together was pretty quiet … but it was really fun. It’s hard to believe that Audrey is already 6 months old … it seems like just yesterday the little princess was born. I don’t know how you spent your Thursday night but I bet it wasn’t as cute as mine ;)

This afternoon, David and I are seeing an early screening of Hanna and then we are meeting up with Darion for a special SECRET performance by a musical performer. I am sworn to secrecy … but watch my Twitter, I’ll do my best to share the goods when the secret gets out :)

Happy Friday, Happy WEEKEND!!!

5 Tips For Cheap T Shirt Printing

Hardly any individual would deny that competitions are an exciting process; after all, the chance to get something for free is rarely a bad thing. When a person is truly determined to win at least one competition, however, they may be under the impression that the key is to sign up for a great number of them; as many as a person can get their hands on. The more there is, the higher the chances are to get something, as it is believed. This is not a terrible belief to hold, but in the end it all comes down to how it is entered and what kind of competition it is.

rio-scream-four-box-office-numbers.jpg

Guess the box-office belongs to the kiddies this weekend!

The Friday numbers are in and so far, the family flick Rio is in the lead with an impressive $10.2 million take from the box-office yesterday. If the 3D toon keeps this up, they could end up with a strong $37 million for the weekend.

Coming in at the #2 spot, slashing an estimated $8 million out of movie-goers, was Scre4m. The flick is getting decent reviews, but based on its performance yesterday, it is projected to take in $20 million for the weekend. That's well below what Dimension Films had projected, but still, not a bad start.

C'mon people! You can do better than this! Would it help if we told you we know the ending and it will undoubtedly BLOW YOUR MIND??? Trust us, go see this movie! It's scary! It's funny! It's written by Kevin Williamson and directed by Wes Craven - 'nough said!

What Is the Difference Between a Spinet and Upright Piano?

D is the 'now' technology - again! Yes it's a little hard to work out why it's suddenly back after disappearing the first time around in 1987. Or perhaps the mystery is why it ever went away to begin with, since people actually seem to dig it quite majorly. Whatever. My question is: could it work in a music video clip?

Emerson GM527 DVD/CDG Karaoke Player Review

You'll find most guitar music for famous songs written in table, whether you search online or pick up a book in your local music store. As with the older written notes table uses 6 lines to show the strings of the guitar, but instead of using drawn notes simple numbers are printed on each line to represent the fret that needs to be pressed. For example a number "1" printed on the bottom 6th string would mean pressing your finger on the bottom string on the 1st fret, also an "F" note.

Last night I met up with my friend Jen and her friends Stacey and Mark at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA to see Cinderella live in concert. Now, back in the day — 25 years ago, when Cinderella first came onto the scene — I was too young to be allowed to see the band in concert. While I was never a huge fan of the band, I did like some of their music and enjoyed a bit that hair/metal music scene. Last night, on the band’s 25th anniversary tour, I finally got to see the band in action.

The show as no fluff, no frills … just straight rock and roll the entire time. The band played all of their hits and they sounded pretty damn amazing, too. If you closed your eyes, and I’m not even kidding, you would think you were rockin’ out to a Cinderella concert back in 1986. Of course, when you opened your eyes you’d see that all of those headbangers from back in the day have grown up to become, well, much older headbangers ;) The show as ridiculously fun and we had a blast. After the show, we made our way to The Standard for some late night eats and then called it a night. So fun.

Tonight, David and I are seeing X-Men: First Class and then I’m going out to Key Club to see kidneythieves live in concert. It’s the weekend (again), y’all! Enjoy!!

Watch: Rihanna, ‘Man Down’

As I hoped, last night turned out to be a very quiet night for me. David and I ordered in food, I played some records and overall just chilled the eff out. Lykke Li performed a concert at The Wiltern last night and I *almost* went … but since I have tix to see her later in the Summer, I decided to take a night off from concerts and just relax. Inspired by the amazing new trailer for the US version of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, I decided to read the original books by Stieg Larrson … finally.

Now, I just started reading so I haven’t gotten to any part of the book that is unrecognizable to be just yet (ie. different from the Swedish film version) but I understand that the Swedish films that have been made on the books are different from the original source material. I’m really curious to read the original stories … which I’ve been meaning to do for over a year now. I LOVE the Swedish films and I am really looking forward to the US films … but it is generally the case that no film can ever truly do any book justice. So … I will be spending the next few weeks with Larsson‘s words as I get hyped up for the release of the US version of Dragon Tattoo this Summer.

Tonight, I think David and I will be hanging out with our friend Emma … but I’m hoping for another quiet night. It’s June, Summer is nearly here … life is so good right now :) Happy Wednesday!

In our WTF? news of the day, a new celebrity feud appears to have broken out this week … between esteemed Golden Girl Betty White and raging trainwreck Lindsay Lohan. This week, Betty spoke to The Daily Mail and offered her honest opinion of the embarrassingly messy behavior by both Charlie Sheen and Lindsay Lohan. Lindsay, apparently, didn’t take too kindly to Betty‘s opinion of her and had to speak out publicly about her displeasure. It sounds like it’s Team Betty vs. Team Lindsay … whose team are YOU on?

Getting slammed by the nicest “Golden Girl” has got to feel pretty weird. “Wow,” Lindsay Lohan said exclusively to E! News in response to Betty White telling London’s Daily Mail that she “cannot stand” celebs like Lohan and Charlie Sheen. “I’ve always been a fan of hers,” Lohan continued. “It’s just a bit strange when people feel they must speak publicly about others. Especially a grown woman.” Ooh…burn? No, not really. Lohan genuinely seemed rather perplexed by why White seemingly name-checked her out of nowhere. White’s comments, according to the Mail’s article, appeared to come after she was asked her opinion about “today’s celebrities.” “They party too much, don’t learn their lines, are unprofessional and they grumble about everything,” the Emmy winner said (supposedly with “eyes flashing,” per the report). “I think they are terribly ungrateful. I cannot stand the people who get wonderful starts in show business, and who abuse it. Lindsay Lohan and Charlie Sheen, for example, although there are plenty of others, too. They are the most blessed people in the world and they don’t appreciate it.” Seems kind of harsh for the usually more discreet actress, whose insults tend to come out in the form of jokes told at award show podiums. “She is such a wonderful one,” White said at the SAG Awards, referring to her “Proposal” costar, Sandra Bullock. “Isn’t it heartening to see how far a girl as plain as she is can go?” Sheen, surprisingly, has not tweeted or otherwise issued a reaction to White’s comments. Lohan had nothing to say on Sheen’s behalf, but she is apparently a fan, having tweeted yesterday: “‘Youre with a winner, you wont regret this’”-charlie sheen as bud fox in Wall Street (winner-winning!) made me laugh lol.”

Let’s be honest here, first it should be made very clear that The Daily Mail generally exaggerates in their reporting … and to be honest, I wouldn’t at all be surprised if they did not quote Betty properly. But even with that said, nothing that Betty reportedly said is at all derogatory or defamatory. It’s pretty public knowledge and quite arguable that Lindsay, for example, does party too hard, doesn’t learn her lines, is unprofessional and “grumbles” about everything (case in point, this dumb feud). Instead of complaining that Betty White is “speaking publicly” about her, maybe she should take Betty‘s comments to heart. When a Golden Girl puts your irresponsible behavior on blast, girl, GET A CLUE! I don’t expect anything else to come from this feud … but I, for one, am squarely on Team Betty. She merely expressed what we all know to be true.

You go, Betty!!

Best Electric Guitar

If you are anything like me, Old School Advent Speakers are about more than just a great bookshelf speaker. They are about nostalgia - a time in our lives when things were simpler, music was better and the world wasn't as complicated as it is today. The affordable nature of the Large Advent Speakers only reinforces this notion - somethings are best when cheap and simple.

People can use art supplies during therapy sessions to help them improve their mental wellbeing. Art therapy is a method of psychotherapy that combines traditional theories and techniques and gives people the opportunity to express themselves through the use of art supplies such as paints, chalk and markers.
