NJ Governor Chris Christie Will NOT Be Running For President

Today, NJ Gov. Chris Christie officially announced that he won't be running for President in the 2012 race.

We started off this season of Doctor Who with the good Doctor being killed at a picnic by somebody in an Apollo era spacesuit. We learned that his human companion, Amy Pond, was pregnant, and her baby, Melody, was kidnapped by a religious group called ′The Silence′ for the purpose of killing the Doctor. Last night David and I made our way to downtown LA to attend a theatrical performance by our friend Josh Z. and the rest of his troupe in Flash Theater LA. Flash Theater LA presents live theater in a spontaneous way and in random places. Last night’s performance took place right in the middle of downtown LA … and it was a very cool performance. The performance featured 4 different sets of performers all acting out the same short play in 4 parts of the same street. I had my doubts, to be honest, that “flash mob theater” would be good … but it was good. Better than good, actually. The story of a couple in love told in reverse was very clever and the acting was superb … despite the fact that my friend JZ was in it ;) We had a blast!

Tonight, I’m heading down to Anaheim, CA to see Bush in concert. I picked up a ticket a few weeks ago and, well, the time has come. I haven’t seen Bush in concert since I saw them in Oklahoma City, OK back in 1997 when they toured with Veruca Salt. It was the last concert I saw in OKC before I moved back home to Michigan after college. It’ll be good to see the guys live again … I hope. Happy Wednesday!!

Rockabilly's brightest luminary, Carl Perkins, once said that of all the honors he'd received in his life, having a child abuse prevention center named after him was the one he cherished the most. Perkins, whose 1956 smash crossover hit "Blue Suede Shoes" (it was the first song ever to sit near the top of each of the pop, country, and R&B charts) defines the essence of rockabilly, was the co founder of the Exchange Club Carl Perkins Center For the Prevention of Child Abuse in Jackson, Tennessee.

Are You One of Those Musicians Who Work Hard But Never Make Any Solid Profit?

If you've done any reading about the genre at all then you've heard that rockabilly is the result of melding country music and blues music. Certainly there's a lot of truth to that idea, but it really simplifies things far too much. Several forms of music evolved and met in the rockabilly confluence, not the least of these was the rhythm and blues, or R&B music of the 1940s and early 1950s. If the blues and country gave rockabilly a starting base, it was R&B in particular that infused the genre with "rock". R&B primed the rockabilly pump and really gave it its energy.

Watch Whoopi GO OFF On The Donald!

Hot Topics got extra HEATED this morning!
Whoopi Goldberg lost her cool with Donald Trump this morning on The View after he began pushing the issue of President Obama "hiding" his birth certificate.
The conversation escalated and escalated until Whoopi (and Barbara Walters, to an extent) became enraged with The Donald and told him what for.
Ooo! [...]

To quote Kanye West's song So Appalled, "life can be sometimes ridiculous."

This is one of those times.

During a recent interview, 8-year-old Britney Campbell of San Francisco claimed that her mother, Kerry, injects her with Botox so she'll "become a star":

"My friends think it's cool I have all the treatments and they want to be like me. I check every night for wrinkles, when I see some I want more injections. They used to hurt, but now I don't cry that much."

Apparently, Britney's mom tests the Botox first before injecting her daughter, as if that makes it any less creepy/disturbing/abusive.

Kerry Campbell also claims that her daughter "…has her virgin wax monthly, which gets rid of her fluffy leg hair and makes sure she won't develop pubic hair in the future."

But does Kerry actually think she's doing a good thing for Britney?:

"More mothers should do it for their daughters."

So crazy…and disturbing. We seriously hope this ends up being a hoax.
