We started off this season of Doctor Who with the good Doctor being killed at a picnic by somebody in an Apollo era spacesuit. We learned that his human companion, Amy Pond, was pregnant, and her baby, Melody, was kidnapped by a religious group called ′The Silence′ for the purpose of killing the Doctor. Then we found out that the mysterious River Song, who is traveling backwards through time, is in fact Melody Pond.
